The Alignment Systems project started with a thought experiment: What would an app with network effects that maximally benefit users look like?

From there, a more tangible set of goals has started to emerge. We are focused on building systems that augment our ability to reason, understand each other, and make group decisions, by building apps to facilitate network effects on the following dimensions.

• Storing, indexing, revisiting, and integrating personal knowledge across time.
• Sharing, collaborating, deliberating on, and integrating knowledge on small teams.
• Discovering and integrating personal knowledge with social-media scale conversations.

The next phase of the project will focus on building a web app, a mobile app, and expressing our views on this website.
